The Port city of Tuticorin is rapidly growing with a number of Industrial activities requiring skilled labour and technicians. With the aim of providing employment opportunity to the youngsters of higher elementary and secondary school level, the Chandy Industrial Training Centre was started in  the year 2003 to offer them training in the job – oriented trades of:           

The pass percentage has been over 80% and all the trained candidates have secured jobs through campus interviews.
